After researching the air frame it appears there are some different opinion's on the color that was applied to it. The two most consistent are gray and a light greenish color. I'm going with the light green as it is just more appealing to the eye then just gray. I will wrap the frame work per photos I've seen at locations that would give anchor points for the final covering to be attached.
The stock frame is nicely done but once again there are details missing. To be fare on this, there has been tons of new information that has surfaced on the DR1 since these kits were produced.
Added the wing nuts for the seat adjustment brackets. I made the floor board tubing out of brass so the tubing would be hollow in appearance just like the original. The kit had this just solid molded plastic.
Added the mounting flanges on the rear handles along with the bolts
Testing the fit of the brass parts.
Wrapping the frame work.
After finishing the wrapping of the frame work I was not happy with the overall look so I started to strip it down to redo it in a little different fashion.

After removing all the material from my fouled up wrap job I learned that the rear rudder post was actually made of wood and mounted to the metal frame via meatal brackets. So I removed the plastic rear of the frame.
